the start of it all

Bianca was my very first paying client. I shot her maternity pictures and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Not only did Bianca have a beautiful pregnant belly, but she was completely open and comfortable with her body and relaxed in front of the camera. When little Rheanna was born I was able to shoot my first newborn session ever.

As always, many thanks to Shawn for her amazing designs. Are the toes on her not the most perfect you have ever seen!?

I photographed Rheanna again at 3 months (too lazy to track those down) and again with mommy at 8 months.

bianca4-blogbianca3-blogWOWZA! Hottie mom. Doesn’t she look amazing for just having a baby?

So now, I year later I had the pleasure of photographing them again. Rheanna will be 2 in June. She didnt want anything to do with my camera… but I managed to sneak them in.

Bianca, here are your tide-over images that I promised!!

bianca1-blogbianca2-blogThat’s all for tonight. I have 3 sessions to finish editing and 2 more coming up. Back to work!

I had the enormous pleasure of playing with “big boy” Brayden today. His was my second session of the day. We rode the carousel, went to the candy store,  and played superheroes. I worked up a sweat and had a blast! His grandma (Hi “Monna”!!) was a real treat. She had the whole back of her mini van loaded with clothes, shoes, props, and emergency rations ;) not to mention the cutest ideas. Not only that, but she took me to dinner afterwards! We had amazing shrimp, live acoustic music, great company and perfect weather.

“Monna”, I know you are waiting for the real pictures– but I just had to post these. I had a wonderful time tonight. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Spring Promotion

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

I don’t know when it happened. I was driving home earlier this week and as I passed by Willow Branch Park, I noticed things were different. When had all that green appeared? During the winter the park is a drab palate of grey and muted green. Spanish moss hangs from the bare branches and the place is almost creepy. Not anymore. It has exploded with color and life. The trees, once again, display bright green leaves and the grass has suddenly come to life.

Spring is definitely on its way in!

What better way to celebrate than a sale?

this incredibly cute postcard was designed by the talented Shawn of Eclectic Whimsy Designs. From the beginning, she has been there for many of my design needs.
